Built in 1940-41 by Ralph and Anna Ferris, Coronado Lodge was part of a national boom in motel construction between 1940 and 1960 that reflected the nation's growing automobile-based mobility and increased disposable income for leisure travel in the years following World War II. Coronado Lodge is important for many reasons, most strikingly for its association with the history of African American travel and tourism during the era of segregation.
After a construction project took longer than expected, my wife, my daughter and I needed a place to stay for a week. As a Pueblo resident, we know a lot about our city and the types of housing options available. We loved our vacation.
I'm a traveling nurse and stayed here while I passed through Pueblo. I'm glad I chose this place to stay. It's one of the nicer motels in the area and had friendly neighbors. Coronado Lodge gets a 5 star review from me.
The staff was exceptional and my stay was very comfortable. I would recommend this place.
This lovely motel lodge was simply amazing. The room was clean, linens crisp, beds comfortable, lovely product in the bathrooms. Within walking distance to the store. The staff was great.
